New Projects: New York State Veterans Home, Oxford, NY: K&L has teamed with Kideney Architects, Buffalo, NY and has been selected by the NYS Dormitory Authority and Department of Health to design the MEP systems for a new 250 bed skilled care nursing home in Oxford, New York. Preakness Healthcare Center, Wayne, NJ: In collaboration with the architectural team of Ronald Schmidt & Associates, PA, Englewood, NJ and Comerro Coppa Architects, Totowa, NJ, K&L is designing the MEP systems for a new 350 bed skilled care nursing home to be owned and operated by the County of Passaic, NJ. Riverdale Country School, Bronx, NY: Beyer Blinder Belle Architects has selected K&L for the renovation and expansion at RCS, a private middle school in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NY. William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ: K&L teamed up with Gruzen Samton Architects for the 10,500 SF alteration and 72,000 SF additions to the Student Center and Wayne Hall. K&L has also teamed with Seyffer + Koch Architectural Group to design the new residence halls on the campus. Bedford School District Modernization, Alterations and Expansion, Bedford and Mt. Kisco, NY: K&L was selected by The Geddis Partnership for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, building additions and renovations to seven Bedford School District facilities. West End 2000, Assisted Living Facility, New Rochelle, NY: K&L has partnered with Perkins Eastman Architects to provide mechanical and electrical engineering design for a new 96,000 SF, 8-story senior assisted living facility. The project is being designed as a Green Building and will be submitted for LEED Certification. The Landings at Harborside, Perth Amboy, NJ: K&L was selected by the Leibman Melting Partnership to design this new 300,000 GSF housing facility, with garages and retail space. Wildlife Conservation Society Institute Building, Bronx Zoo, Bronx, NY: Together with Fox & Fowle Architects we are continuing to provide design services for The Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo. Having just completed the design for the renovation of the historic Lion House which is now starting construction, we are beginning the design of the 40,000 SF office and conference center. Biosafety Level 3 Facility Commissioning, New York, NY: K&L was hired by The Department of Design and Construction to commission the electrical and mechanical systems for the renovation and alteration of the second floor of the DOH building. Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia: As a sub-consultant to Alspector Anderson Architects, we are providing mechanical and electrical design services for the addition to The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum (AARFAM) to be used by The DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum.
